
Torrington, Conn./WTIC Radio - A woman is under arrest after Torrington police say she altered voter registration cards during an event last year.
Arlanda Brantley, 57, is a state employee with the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Police say they investigated a complaint that cards were altered following that September 17th event.
The investigation found that cards marked "No" or "Republican" in the space for party affiliation were changed to "Democrat" without consent of the registrants.
Police, working with the State Elections Enforcement Commission, determined the cards had been altered after they were submitted to the Registrar of Voters.
Brantley faces five counts each of fradulent registration and primary or enrollment violation.
She's free on a $10,000 bond and is due in court February 10th.
