Connecticut State Police have released their latest holiday safety travel statistics for the long weekend.

Troopers have responded to 3,313 calls for service.


They have made 29 DUI arrests, issued 218 speeding tickets, and 7 seatbelt violations.

There have been 244 motor vehicle accidents, 21 of them with injuries, and two fatal crashes. One occurring in Franklin, the other in Westport.

State police also responded to a crash in Essex that seriously injured a Rhode Island teen.

The data covers the time period between midnight Friday and 6 AM Christmas morning.

The holiday traffic safety enforcement period ends at midnight Tuesday.
