Guilford, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-State Representative Sean Scanlon (D-Branford, Guilford)-has announced he's seeking the nomination for Comptroller.
Current Comptroller Natalie Braswell is not seeking the post.
Scanlon said his platform includes access to affordable health care, paying down the state's debt and making sure everyone has an affordable retirement.
Scanlon co-chairs the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee and is currently serving his fourth term in the General Assembly.
He faces a challenge from Republican Mary Fay, a member of the West Hartford Town Council.
