The nomination process ended in a 79-79 tie between Stefanowski and Rob Hotaling.
Independent Party chair Michael Telesca cast the tie-breaking vote.
But the Stefanowkski campaign is crying foul, saying that in the event of a tie, a re-vote should be taken, adding that Telesca actually voted twice.
The campaign sent a letter to Telesca today.
Stefanowski is hoping to get a cross endorsement and another line on the ballot in November.
