Stratford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Stratford police are charging a man in a fatal hit-and-run crash from last week.
Police say just after 1:00 a.m. on January 9, they responded to a report of two pedestrians struck by a vehicle in the 1400 block of South Avenue
Police say the vehicle fled the scene.
The black Chevy truck was tracked down to a residence on Parrott Avenue in Bridgeport.
They say Kevin O'Neill, 56, identified himself as the owner and driver.
The victims were taken to an area hospital with critical injuries, police said.
One victim, identified as James Keno Davis, 35, of Brooklyn, New York, succumbed to his injuries.
Police have charged O'Neill with evading responsibility-serious physical injury and driving an unregistered vehicle.
He's due in court January 23.
