East Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - East Hartford police say they've arrested a suspect in connection with several police pursuits and multiple thefts across multiple jurisdictions.
Just before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, they picked up Kyronne Williams, 40, of Hartford.
Officers stopped Williams' car on Main Street and he fled on foot.
Williams was tracked down by a police canine in the backyard of a Wells Street home.
Police say Williams punched the dog several times and they needed pepper spray to apprehend him.
He now faces several charges including interfering with police and cruelty to animals.
Officers say Williams has outstanding warrants with the state police, Wethersfield, and Rhode Island.
