Troopers say just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday, a speeding vehicle described as a 2005 Toyota Scion headed northbound near exit 21 crossed all lanes of traffic hitting a food truck belonging to Big Green Truck Pizza from behind.

The food truck flipped over with the driver and a passenger sustaining minor injuries.

Both were treated at the Hospital of Central Connecticut.

The driver of the car that hit the truck fled the scene on foot.

In an image released by State Police, the suspect is wearing a gold Los Angeles Lakers jersey, jeans and sneakers.

The community has started a Go Fund Me page to help raise a portion of the $250,000 needed to get the truck back up and running.
