New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in New Haven have released the name of a person struck and killed by the driver of a vehicle while riding a bicycle last week.
Allen Williams was a resident of New Haven.
Police say it was late Friday night that the 53-year-old was struck in the area of Howard Avenue and Second Street.
He died at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Detectives say the offending vehicle was found ditched in another part of the city.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who might have information is asked to contact police.
