Suspects arrested in Meriden shooting incident

Meriden, Conn./WTIC Radio - Two man have been charged in connection with a shooting in Meriden.

Police were called to 465 Crown Street just after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday after reports of a male suspect firing shots at another male in the parking lot.

Police say the suspect then fled into the nearby Crown Village condominium complex, where the suspect gave the gun to another male, and they both went into one of the condo buildings.

Officers surrounded the building, when the two suspects fled, but were later taken into custody.

Under arreest are 22-year old Christopher Echevarria and 20-year old Elshaddai Morris face numerous charges, including criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal attempt to committ first degree assault.

Echevarria is being held on a $1 million bond.

Morris's bond was set at $500,000.
