
Bristol, Conn./WTIC Radio - A Bristol teenager is in the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on his way to school Wednesday morning.
It was just before 6:30 a.m. when the 17-year-old was struck in the 200 block of King Street, state Route 229.
The boy is currently being treated for injuries he sustained and is in stable condition at an area hospital.
The driver did remain at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
King Street between Bernadette Drive and New Street was closed for several hours.
The area was reopened to traffic by 9:30 a.m.
