WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Waterbury Police arrest six teens in connection with high school football game disturbances Friday night.
Officers assigned to a security detail for the high school football game between Derby and Wilby High School observed several teenage spectators involved in a physical altercation.
Officers quickly intervened to separate all parties involved, resulting in the arrest of several juveniles.
During the altercation, minor injuries were sustained.
Shortly thereafter, additional teenage spectators were observed instigating further fights and refusing officers’ commands to disperse.
Police say Ginnellys Vazquez, 18, is charged with second-degree breach of peace and interference with police.
No other names are being released because of the ages of the other suspects, but their charges are as follows:
All of the suspects are from Waterbury, according to Police.
