Stamford, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-The Omicron virus has been detected in every Connecticut county, according to Public Health Commissioner Manisha Juthani.

"People who have not been tested have had more symptomatic disease. Get tested. It's good for you and your family and preventing spread in the community," she said.

"I'm not saying everybody run to the gate and get tested tomorrow. We have enough testing for those most vulnerable and in need and give us enough time and we'll have enough for everybody", said Governor Ned Lamont.

Lamont said the state  has one million tests and  500 thousand  are  going to schools. He added his administration is working the supply pipeline for more tests.

Commissioner Juthani said the state's latest positivity rate is 21.5  percent.
