Third person arrested for Meriden parking lot takeover.

MERIDEN, CONN (WTIC Radio)-Police have arrested a third person for the parking lot takeover at the Lowe's Outlet Store May 6th.

Officers arriving on the scene were confronted with a crowd of as many  as 40 people. Police said the crowd swarmed the officer, preventing him from moving in any direction. Dash camera video showed several people screaming obscenities, displaying the middle finger and others provoking rioters. Parties were seen jumping on the hood of the officer's cruiser, causing felonious damage to it. Participants also prevented additional officers from dispersing the crowd.


Police have arrested Jarid Weymer, 22. He faces charges including rioting, criminal mischief, breach of peace and criminal trespass. He's wanted on an active warrant for a similar incident in a nearby town. He's being held on a court set bond of $250-thousand.

Tatianna Ortiz and Shawn Mills were arrested on similar charges May 25th.
