Three arrested in drug sting at New Britain bus stop

New Britain, Conn./WTIC Radio - Three men are under arrest on numerous charges after state police say they were conducting drug sales at a CTfastrak bus station in New Britain.

The arrests were made January 12th.

Troopers say they set up surveillance in the area of the bus stop and observed activity consistent with hand-to-hand drug transactions.

In addition to the three arrested, officers say unidentified individuals attempted to hide the narcotics on the bus.

A state police canine located the drugs, among them 16 heroin/fentanyl bundles, 17 Oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Under arrest are Sammy Lee Trimmier, 40, and Christopher Hicks, 20, both of Hartford.

The third suspect is identified as Christian Garcia, 28, of East Hartford.

Each faces various conspiracy and possession charges with bonds set at $100,000.

In addition, police say Trimmier had an active PRAWN warrant out on him that carries a $200,000 bond.
