Hartford, Conn. WTIC Radio)-Two people face charges after state police pulled over their vehicle and discovered 148 packages of suspected fentanyl, heroin crack cocaine and associated paraphernalia.

A State Trooper said he observed a white Dodge Sprinter van pass his unmarked cruiser at a high rate of speed, Monday morning at ten on Interstate 91 northbound in the city of Hartford.


The driver has been identified as Mauro Spagnolo, 52, from Rocky Hill.

He faces charges including reckless driving, operation of a motor vehicle under suspension and possession of a controlled  substance. He appears in Hartford Superior Court October 10th.

A passenger, Heather Dube, 48 of Hartford was the subject of an active Paperless Re-Arrest Warrant. She's  due in Hartford Superior Court today.

For the latest incident, she's charged with possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia. She's due in court October 4th.
