Farmington, Conn./WTIC Radio - Two men are being charged by Farmington police for their alleged roles in a so-called street takeover earlier this year.

Under arrest are Antonio Deleg, 24, of Stratford, and Jesus Sotelo Sanchez, 20, of Wethersfield.

Detectives say the two were part of a large takeover event on Farm Springs Road on May 7.

Police say over 150 vehicles were present.

During the event, officers reported reckless and dangerous driving exhibitions in front of a large crowd of spectators that also caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Both Deleg and Sotelo Sanchez are charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and violation of motor vehicle racing requirements.

They're both free on $5,000 bonds and due in court July 25.

In addition, Farmington police say they have warrants out for three other people identified as having taken part in the gathering.
