
Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in Hartford say a double fatal shooting Thursday at a housing facility for those aged 65 and older is being investigated as a murder/suicide.
Police Lieutenant Aaron Boisvert says they were alerted to the shooting via ShotSpotter activiation around 11:45 a.m.
Boisvert says they responded to the rear parking lot at 35 Clark Street.
"Upon arrival (officers) did locate two individuals, both unresponsive on scene", said Boisvert.
Boisvert said 67-year-old Luis Dejesus shot 73-year-old Preeman Faniel at Generations housing before turning the gun on himself.
Faniel died at St. Francis Hospital.
Dejesus was pronounced dead at the scene.
Boisvert said the shooting stemmed from a minor altercation and called it "tragic and senseless".
