
West Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - The investigation continues into the deaths of a young mother and a toddler over the weekend in West Haven.
Police say just before 9:00 Saturday night, they received numerous 911 calls about yelling and screaming coming from an apartment at 430 Meloy Road.
Once on scene, they found the victims, including a two-year-old toddler, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Police also say a male jumped through a second-floor window, landing on the walkway to the apartment.
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
They do say a suspect is in custody.
The investigation is ongoing in coordination with the Milford State's Attorney and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
