Two killed in North Haven fire identified

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The North Haven Fire Department releases the names of the two people killed in a fire early Monday morning.

The victims of the fire are identified as Aurelian Kamp, 8, and John Morris, 72.

The fire was reported at a residence on Green Street around 12:30 a.m. It was a difficult search in the home due to numerous renovations that been done on the structure of the years, according to investigators.

Morris was found dead inside the home.

Kamp later died at a local hospital.

Other occupants made it out safely.

A vigil in remembrance of the victims will be held Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at St. Barnabas Church on Washington Avenue in North Haven.

The cause of the fire hasn't been identified.
