Connecticut State Police report two women from out-of-state are dead in a crash that closed I-84 Westbound in Tolland on Wednesday night.
It was around 10:40 p.m. when Paige Cooke, 28, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was driving a 2026 Kia Sportage that had gotten too close to the rear of a dump truck on I-84 Westbound in Tolland, near Exit 68.
She crashed into the back of the big rig and was killed along with her passenger, identified as Kristina Murphy, 28, of Wimington, Massachusetts.
The driver of the dump truck involved was taken to Hartford Hospital for an evaluation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
