Two rescued in Bridgeport fire

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Two people have been rescued from a Saturday morning fire.

When firefighters arrived at the residence in the 100 block of Bick Terrace around 1:05 a.m., the Bridgeport Police Department was pulling one victim from the building.

It was at that time the Fire Department began an aggressive fire attack that led to the discovery of a second victim.

Both people have been taken to St. Vincent's Hospital for treatment. An update on their condition hasn't been shared.

The fire was under control in a half hour.

The cause remains under investigation.
