New York, NY/WTIC Radio - The UConn men's basketball team is the preseason favorite to win the Big East championship.
At media day in New York Thursday, head coach Dan Hurley said they're going to keep doing what they've been doing during his nine year tenure in Storrs.
"We're sticking to the same principles that we've been all about in terms of what we built," he said.
Hurley said the keys to the program's recent success have to do with their culture and player development.
Senior guard Silas Demary, Jr. is the preseason choice for Big East Player of the Year.
Demary is coming off a 2025-26 season where he averaged 10.1 points and 5.9 assists per game.
The Huskies begin the regular season November 2 with a home tilt against Gardner-Webb.
