Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Those hoping to celebrate the UConn women's basketball team's national championship will have to wait a day to do so.
Organizers say the parade is being moved from this Saturday to Sunday, April 13.
That's due to the threat of heavy rain on Saturday.
The parade will now step off Sunday at 1:00 p.m. from the State Capitol building.
The route is as follows: the Capitol at Trinity and Elm Streets, north on Trinity to the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, to Jewell Street, Trumbull Street and winding up at the intersection of Asylum and Trumbull Streets.
The parade will be followed by comments from coach Geno Auriemma, players and Governor Lamont in front of the XL Center.
The Huskies secured the program's 12th national championship with an 82-59 win over South Carolina on Sunday.
