Storrs, Conn./WTIC Radio - The starting center of the national champion UConn men's basketball team is expected to miss some time.
The university says sophomore center Donavan Clingan sustained a foot strain in practice this week.
The Bristol native is expected to be out about a month.
Clingan average nearly 7-points and pulled down 5.6 rebounds last season, in which he was named to the Big East All-Freshman team.
The university says he is expected to recover by the end of October and be ready for the start of the 2023-24 season in November.
