VERNON, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Vernon Police say they have taken custody of a vehicle-of-interest in connection with Tuesday's fatal hit-and-run.
On Wednesday afternoon, investigators returned to Phoenix Street, where Andrew Aggarwala, 44, of Vernon, was fatally hit by a car while he walked his puppy. The car fled the scene of the accident.
Police were able to find and seize a car they believe is involved in the case. No arrests have been made, though police say a person was inside the car when they took custody of it.
Officers used drones on Wednesday to look for the missing 44-pound black puppy but were unable to find it.
Authorities are not describing the vehicle-of-interest or any possible suspects at this time.
