
New Britain, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - With five weeks to go before Election Day, Connecticut will receive a visit from Vice President Kamala Harris this week.


Harris is expected to attend and take part in a roundtable discussion on reproductive rights on Wednesday.
In a statement, CCSU President Zulma Toro said Harris will take part in the discussion with U.S. Representative Jahana Hayes and Alexis McGill Johnson, the national president of Planned Parenthood.
Toro said "As a public university that embraces open discourse no matter one’s politics, we are pleased to have an opportunity to showcase our campus at the national level, and we look forward to welcoming the Vice President."
Harris's advance team is already on campus, Toro said.
