Bloomfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in Bloomfield have issued a warrant for an arrest in connection with a crash that left a tow truck operator dead.

Once arrested, officials say Curran Melanson, 28, will face charges of manslaughter, DUI, and failure to reduce speed.

It was September 8 when Alex Ramos, 26, was struck in the 300 block of Tunxis Avenue.

Investigators say the vehicle that struck Ramos, a 2009 Honda Civic, was found on Tunxis Avenue on its roof just south of the accident location.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Ramos was lying in the road, unresponsive, when emergency responders arrived at the scene.

He was pronounced at an area hospital.
