West Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A church priest in West Hartford was killed in a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday.
West Hartford police say Father Terry Kristofak, 85, died when the vehicle he was driving went off the road and into the woods just after 2:30 p.m. at Simsbury Road and Tumblebrook Lane.
He was the sole occupant of the vehicle, police said.
Kristofak was Passionist priest at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center.
Investigators say he had to be extricated from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
