Do not be cavalier about the fact that nobody has come down yet with West Nile say experts.
Right now, your risk of getting West Nile is about as great as it gets. Just at the
beginning of this peak month for the disease, high numbers of mosquitos carryiung West Nile
are being seen -- especially in parts of Fairfield and New Haven counties near the water and even
in the middle of the state - in the Hartford area. Keep as little skin exposed as possible and wear
repellent say the experts, especially since entomologists -- translation bug nerds -- are now finding
the virus inm the types of mosquitos that prefer human blood. You really do not want this virus, they say, especially if you end up
like one in five people whose mosquito bites quickly become headaches, vomiting and possibly
months of fatigue and weakness.
