Burlington, Conn./WTIC Radio - A woman due to be sentenced in the death of her husband, who was a UConn professor, has been found dead in her home in Burlington.
State police on Wednesday reported the body of Linda Kosuda-Bigazzi, 76, was found in the Smith Lane residence just after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
A person was unable to make contact with Kosuda-Bigazzi, said troopers.
"An unresponsive female was located within the residence, who was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene", said investigators in a statement.
Kosuda-Bigazzi pleaded guilty earlier this year to manslaughter in the death of her husband, Pierluigi Bigazzi.
Authorities say his body was hidden for months as the university continued to deposit paychecks into the couple's joint account.
Pierluigi Bigazzi died in what Kosuda-Bigazzi said was self-defense, unbeknownst to the university until February of 2018.
