Those municipalities include Hartford, West Hartford, Farmington, Bristol, Bloomfield, Winchester, Middletown, Wethersfield, Bridgeport, and New London, among others.

In Hartford, Mayor Luke Bronin says the ban goes into effect at 8:00 Monday evening and runs through 12:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Those vehicles not removed from city streets by the time of the ban are subject to ticketing and being towed.

A number of blue light lots will be available for Hartford city residents to park in for the storm's duration.

Elsewhere, UConn has announced it is cancelling classes at all campuses with the exception of UConn Health Tuesday due to the storm.

The university says that applies to all modes including in person, online, and hybrid classes.
