
Ansonia, Conn./WTIC Radio - Ansonia police have charged a woman they say caused an arm injury to a child at a local school.
Mary Durso-Smith, 32, is accused of breaking the child's arm at a Mead School pre-K program on March 25th.
Investigators say Durso-Smith grabbed the child's arm to the point where surgery was ultimately required.
Video of the incident led officers to determine it was not an accident.
According to a warrant, Durso-Smith said she was assisting the child after a fall.
She's free on $50,000 bond, charged with risk of injury and assault.
