Wallingford, Conn./WTIC Radio - In Wallingford, police are charging a woman with having an inappropriate relationship with a minor 16 years ago.
Under arrest is Renee Deleon, 52, of Wallingford.
Police say Deleon was a teacher at James Moran Middle School at the time she had a sexual relationship with the minor, who was then 14.
The incidents allegedly took place between April and December 2008.
Deleon was in her mid-30s, police say.
She is no long employed by the Wallingford school system.
Deleon was arrested Thursday and charged with sexual assault and risk of injury.
She is currently free on $25,000 bond and is due in court August 28th.
