A woman is in custody after she tried to stab a Connecticut State Capitol Police officer who was conducting a patrol near the State Capitol complex.
The woman attempted to stab the officer through the driver's side window of his cruiser that was near the intersection of Armory Road and Michael J. Fallon Way.
Reports are she kept trying to stab through the window until the knife broke.
The officer was not hurt.
Police took the woman into custody, even though she attempted to flee.
The woman's name has not been released.
She has been hospitalized for a mental health evaluation.
