WETHERSFIELD, CT (WTIC Radio) - Wethersfield Police arrest a woman in connection with the death of her child in North Carolina.
Rajasaffiyya Drain, 28, had a warrant out for her arrest from the Bertie County, NC Sheriff’s Office.
A reported domestic incident at an address in town Monday night led police to Drain, who was sought in an arrest warrant.
Drain's daughter, Jamie, died December 2, 2024, while playing at home as her mother was cooking.
Police in North Carolina say Jamie had fallen face-first, striking her forehead.
Drain is charged with murder and child abuse charges.
Wethersfield police are charging Drain as being a fugitive from justice.
Bond is $1,000,000.
