STORRS, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The University of Connecticut is celebrating a strong ranking in the Wall Street Journal.
UConn is 46th overall out in a ranking of the 50 best universities in America, public or private.
The ranking is based on factors including affordability, time spent in getting a degree, and higher salaries after graduate.
The ranking for UConn is the second highest of any Connecticut school, behind Yale in New Haven which ranks third on the Best Colleges 2024 list.
For its graduation rate, the Journal gave UConn a score of 90 out of 100. According to University research, the average time it takes for UConn undergraduates to earn their degrees is 4.1 years, placing UConn at #1 among public universities.
The Journal also found the value UConn adds to graduates’ salaries boosts graduates’ pay by more than $47,000, on average.
