
(Enfield, Conn./WTIC) - Charges have been upgraded to murder for the suspect in a double homicide Sunday in Enfield.
Police are now charging 22-year-old Harlee Swols with two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of her grandmother, 72-year-old Maryrose Riach and Riach's boyfriend, 63-year-old James Bell.
Investigators say Swols, originally charged with violating a protective order, was covered in blood when they arrived at the scene Sunday evening at an Alden Avenue apartment after 6:30 p.m.
Police say both victims had been stabbed.
Swols now faces two counts of murder. Her bond was set at $2 million.
