Fireworks malfunctioned during a post-game show at a Richmond Flying Squirrels game Thursday, as fireworks soared into the stands. They were playing the Hartford Yard Goats. Team officials say no one was seriously hurt. Firefighters arriving on scene in minutes.
The Flying Squirrels said they are working with the fireworks vendor, Pyro Shows, to determine what caused the malfunction.
Pyro Shows released a statement saying its technicians followed company protocol and immediately terminated the show.
The company also issued an apology to fans and the Flying Squirrels organization.
