Frito-Lay has issued a recall for a “limited number” of its Doritos chips after it was discovered their packaging failed to properly warn of potential allergen concerns.

According to a recall notice posted by the Food and Drug Administration, certain 14.5-oz. and 1-oz. bags of Doritos Nacho Cheese Flavored Tortilla Chips have been voluntarily recalled because they may contain undeclared soy and wheat ingredients from the brand’s spicy sweet chili flavor.

The recall notice shared that so far no allergic reactions related to the recalled products have been reported to the FDA or the company.

Still, those who have soy or wheat allergens “run the risk of illness should they consume these products,” the notice said.

If consumers have such allergies, Frito-Lay says they “should not consume the product and discard it immediately.”

The products affected by the recall were sent to retail stores in Pennsylvania, and other outlets like food service locations and vending machines. Products have been available for purchase since June 29, the recall shared.

The recall affects fewer than 7,000 bags of chips, and no other Frito-Lay or Doritos products have been recalled at this time, according to the notice.
