Last week the Secret Service said it was concluding its investigation into how a bag of cocaine ended up in the White House. Now, 2024 Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is claiming that the agency is covering for Hunter Biden.

Haley made her comments during an interview with Tucker Carlson at the Family Leadership Summit held in Iowa on Friday. During the interview, she claimed that the Secret Service saying it wasn’t able to find out whose cocaine it was made no sense.

“For them to say they don’t know who this was … don’t tell me there’s no cameras in there. There are absolutely cameras in there,” Haley said. “I strongly believe this is a coverup for either Hunter or someone very close to the president, and they don’t want to say who it is.”

The Secret Service shared that approximately 1 gram of cocaine was found in a storage locker inside the West Wing executive entrance on July 2.

A member of the Secret Service located the narcotics, conducted a field test, and then the agency sent the substance for lab testing. It was confirmed to be cocaine in both tests.

Members of Congress and a source familiar with the investigation told the New York Post in an interview that the locker was not in view of cameras in the area of the West Wing.

Haley says this doesn’t make sense, as the area was located within feet of the Situation Room and a floor below the Oval Office.

“Everything that they’re saying is that hundreds of people went through this area. No, I’ve been to that area. It is the most secure area anywhere because this is where I, on the National Security Council with other members of national security, met with the president,” Haley said.

The investigation into the substance was closed just 11 days after the bag was first found, as the Secret Service said it could not identify how it ended up in the West Wing.

The Secret Service explained that the drug and its container had no usable DNA or fingerprints for the agency to use.

The president and his family, including Hunter Biden, were not at the White House when the substance was found. However, the Post noted it was discovered when the president’s son, who is also a known former drug addict, had been staying there.

The White House has said that questions about whether the drugs came from the first family are “irresponsible” and has not commented further.
