A Carrick, Pittsburgh, woman is facing aggravated assault and arson charges, accused of setting her boyfriend on fire.

Police called to a home Sunday night say Cecilia Perez and her boyfriend told different stories about what happened.

Perez said her boyfriend accidentally set himself on fire.

He told officers Perez threw isopropyl alcohol on him during an argument. The he-said, she-said continued in the ambulance, per WTAE.com, where the boyfriend "adamantly objected" to Perez's telling of the incident.

"On the way to the hospital, he told police that Perez had "tried to kill me," WTAE reported, adding, "a witness told police she had heard a woman threaten to kill someone in the apartment, followed by banging and clashing."

The boyfriend said the pair had been drinking and got into an argument that ended with her allegedly throwing isopropyl alcohol onto him. "Before he could react, he said, he was on fire, and ran throughout the apartment, trying to pat his clothes and put out the flames," WTAE reported.

The victim had first- and second-degree burns to his arms, chest and back.

Perez is being held at the Allegheny County Jail.
