Vance-Walz debate Bingo: how to play

The two vice presidential candidates will go head to head Tuesday night in what might be the final debate of the 2024 election season.

Democratic Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota and Republican Senator JD Vance of Ohio will take the stage for roughly 90 minutes at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. It comes nearly a month after presidential nominees Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump met for a debate in Philadelphia.

This could be the very last opportunity for either party to reach millions of undecided voters before the election on November 5, since no additional debates are scheduled for Trump and Harris.

While the issues at hand are no doubt serious, that doesn't mean you can't have a little fun as you watch Walz and Vance face off. Grab a pen and play some bingo as you follow along with the debate.

Here's how it works

Draw up a card or download a gameboard to play with family and friends or just for your own enjoyment. Fill the squares with buzzwords, topics and phrases you think the candidates might mention. For example, you can use "Project 2025," "childless cat ladies," "abortion," "climate change," "2020 election," "the middle class" and "small town."

When someone says the word or phrase, cross off the square on your card. Whoever gets a "bingo" first -- five squares in a row, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally -- is the winner.

What exactly you win is up to you: money, bragging rights or just for fun.

The debate will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+, CBSNews.com, and YouTube starting at 8pm ET.
