A Vermont woman has been arrested after she allegedly left someone considered to be a vulnerable adult on the side of the road in -9 degree weather, police say.
On Saturday, Samantha Hojnakcki, a caretaker for a vulnerable adult, was reportedly driving on Route 100 in the Moretown area of Vermont when she got into a fight with the adult, WCAX reported.
After the reported fight, Hojnacki became so upset with the adult that she left them on the side of the road in the subzero temperatures.
Police then found Hojnacki after she crashed her car into the side of a nearby barn.
The police then arrested Hojnacki on suspicion of DUI, reckless endangerment, and abuse, neglect, and exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
