Most of Tom Brady's Super Bowl deeds are well documented and often replayed.
But there are other key Brady moments that are rarely noted outside of the NFL's official play-by-play rundown.
Here's a refresher on some of TB12's vital Super Bowl plays and drives-- not necessarily the greatest, but those that sometimes get lost between championship moments.
Update: Super Bowl LV: Buccaneers d. Chiefs
Lombardi Trophy #7 and Super Bowl MVP #5 for Brady came in an effort reminiscent of his first, nineteen years ago. Brady was unspectacular, but played virtually error-free and took what was offered by the KC defense. Once Leonard Fournette and the Bucs running game got going, the Chiefs had trouble defending the pass. After an early punt, Brady hit Antonio Brown twice on an 8 play, 75 yard drive which ended with the first of two touchdown passes to Rob Gronkowski.
Super Bowl XXXVI: Patriots d. St. Louis Rams
If Brady was ever an actual "system quarterback," it was in his first few years as a starter. The Patriots rode RB Antowain Smith and their defense to the win, with Brady most often keeping his passes short.
Brady was clutch in setting up Adam Vinatieri's championship-winning FG. On the 9 play, 53 yard drive, Brady connected with RB J.R. Redmond three times, then hit WR Troy Brown in stride for 23 yards. That brought the Patriots into Rams' territory. Three plays later, Vinatieri made history.
Super Bowl XXXVIII: Patriots d. Panthers
Carolina led 22-21 in the fourth quarter. Facing 3rd and 9 from the Panthers' 21, the Patriots were one incompletion away from having to settle for a field goal and a two-point lead.
But Brady found David Givens for 18 yards, allowing for Brady's 1 yard touchdown pass to LB/TE Mike Vrabel. After Kevin Faulk's two point conversion, Carolina scored again with 1:13 left- but could only tie the game, instead of taking the lead.
Vinatieri would be the final difference, again.
Super Bowl XXXIX: Patriots d. Eagles
With the Patriots leading by 7 in the fourth, Brady "took one for the team." As he connected with game MVP Deion Branch for 19 yards, Corey Simon of the Eagles was called for roughing the passer. The resulting Vinatieri field goal gave the Patriots a ten point lead, just enough to hold on for the win after the Eagles scored a touchdown with less than two minutes left.
Super Bowl XLII: Giants d. Patriots
Despite taking a beating from Justin Tuck and company, Brady had the Patriots in position to win.
He completed eight passes, including three to Wes Welker, on a championship-worthy 12-play, 80 yard drive. A 6 yard touchdown by Randy Moss gave the Patriots a hard-fought 14-10 lead with 2:45 left.
Then, David Tyree became the Bucky Dent of football, going from almost-anonymous special teamer to household name in a flash.
Super Bowl XLVI: Giants d. Patriots
It looked like the Patriots were on their way, with Brady TD passes sandwiching halftime. He hit Chad (Johnson) Ochocinco with a 21 yard pass to open the third quarter. A 17-9 Patriots lead didn't hold up.
Super Bowl XLIX: Patriots d. Seahawks
A championship-worthy drive that stuck. Trailing by 3 in the fourth quarter, Brady was flawless on a 10 play, 64 yard march, never facing a third down. He completed all eight of his pass attempts, including a pair to Rob Gronkowski for a combined 33 yards. The drive ended with Julian Edelman's game-winning TD.
Malcolm Butler saved the day after that.
Super Bowl LI: Patriots d. Falcons
You may have heard that the Patriots trailed 28-3 late in the third quarter. Everyone knew the Patriots had to throw on almost every down. Brady was up to the challenge.
So many key plays. Here are just a few.
4:49 left, 3rd qtr: Brady runs for 15 yards on 3rd and 8 (four plays later, he throws to James White for a score)
12:30 left, 4th qtr: On 3rd and 1, he finds TE Martellus Bennett for 25, setting up first and goal (four plays later, Stephen Gostkowski nails a vital field goal).
7:03 left, 4th qtr: On 3rd and 11 at the Atlanta 26, Brady hits rookie Malcolm Mitchell for 12 yards (two plays later, a Danny Amendola TD, plus a two point conversion, make it an 8-point game and Falcons owner Arthur Blank is thinking about going back up to the press box).
3:17 left, 4th qtr: Another third down pick-up, this time to Chris Hogan. Without that, Julian Edelman might not have made his Quick Hands Catch, setting up another James White score.
The game was a high-wire act all the way, and the Patriots would have never forced the first Super Bowl overtime without those plays.
Super Bowl LII: Eagles d. Patriots
Again, Brady played title-worthy football, as the Patriots' offense rolled up 613 yards.
Their final lead was 33-32 after Gronkowski scored, set up by three straight Brady-Amendola connections for a combined 46 yards.
This time, though, the loss was partially on TB12, as he fumbled on Brandon Graham's game-clinching strip sack.
Super Bowl LIII: Patriots d. Rams
Fourth quarter perfection again, leading to Sony Michel's championship-winner. Two passes to Gronk for a combined 47 yards as Brady completed all four attempts on a lightning-fast 5 play, 69-yard drive.
