(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Winter is quickly approaching and there are many Connecticut residents worried about how they'll pay their utility bills this season.
The wet snow in the forecast Friday shouldn't amount to much. However, it is a reminder that the cold weather months are ahead.
Operation Fuel offers assistance to those who need it in paying their utility bills.
Marketing director Dana Barcellos-Allen says they expect to see an uptick in applicants this season due mainly to the coronavirus pandemic.
She says the public can donate by using the check off box on their utility bill.
