(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - A snow parking ban is in effect for Hartford.
The ban in the capital city went into effect at noon.
It runs through 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night.
Mayor Luke Bronin says that means vehicles are prohibited from being parked on city streets.
Bronin says flashing blue lights are illuminating over a dozen major city intersections to alert citizens.
There are nine blue light lots where residents can park their vehicles during the storm.
Vehicle must be removed from those lots within four hours of the ban being lifted.
Parking is also allowed in public school lots. Vehicles in those lots should be removed within two hours of the end of the ban.
