HARTFORD, Connecticut
Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont has been endorsed by party delegates at the convention in Hartford to run for a third term on the Democratic ticket--but he will need to beat State Rep. Josh Elliott in a primary election in August. That's because more than 25% of the delegates voted for Elliott. In his acceptance speech he urged voters to "stand up for your rights and don't give up the fight". Lamont is seeking his third term as Governor.
