Six Flags New England will reopen on Friday, three days after a severe windstorm ripped through the amusement park in Agawam, MA.

The resulting tree damage was enough to close the park for cleanup on Wednesday and Thursday, at the height of the lucrative summer season.

Six Flags spokesperson Jennifer McGrath says the storm took down about a dozen large trees on the campus. One ride, the Fireball, suffered damage from a tree that crashed across its base, according to overhead images posted by WBZ-TV.

"Fireball we anticipate not opening (Friday)," says McGrath, "but for the rest of our property, July 2nd, we're going for it... We are aggressive in getting our property ready to go!"

The storm came through at closing time Tuesday. No one was hurt.
