(South Windsor, Conn./WTIC) - South Windsor police are charging an Ellington man after they say he crashed the vehicle he was driving this week with two children inside.
On Sunday, police say 34-year-old Kevin Foley was behind the wheel of a vehicle which hit a utilitiy pole and struck another vehicle parked in a driveway on Griffin Road and Thomas Street.
Foley and the two children weren't injured.
Police say they suspected Foley of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
They say he subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
Foley is charged with operating under the influence, failure to drive in a proper lane and two counts of risk of injury.
He's free on $5,000 bond and is due in court in Manchester December 8.
