Hartford, Conn. (WTIC RADIO) - It's being billed as an emergency summit on TikTok this morning in New Britain.
The gathering is being hosted by Senator Richard Blumenthal and state Attorney General William Tong. It is scheduled to take place at New Britain High School.

The two will get together with school officials, parents and students in calling for the social media platform to better police itself.
This comes in light of a recent trend urging students to commit acts of vandalism or violence against teachers--the so-called "slap a teacher" challenge.
Last month, school was closed for a day at New Britain High School due to student misbehavior.
Tong has previously called on TikTok officials to come to Connecticut to talk about reforms.
